It was a night to remember last night at the Marina Civic Center. Proceeds from the acoustic show benefited the Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center, a non-profit organization that provides services to local neglected and abused children. There was an amazing turn out for the charitable event with just about every seat in the house filled. A wide array of talent took the stage during this event with a very laid back and intimate setting. A local group from Panama City, Southern Sunday, kicked off the show followed by a bunch of other well known artists. The part that I enjoyed most about this show was that it was an acoustic set where groups of artists played together and were able to talk and joke around so you feel like you can really connect to them on a personal level. Former chart toppers like Aaron Tippin, Mark Chesnutt and Joe Diffie put on an amazing show and took us back to the 90's with there hits songs like "Kiss This" and "Third Rock from the Sun." Montgomery Gentry capped off the night and energized the crowd with there entertaining set showing us all why they are still big names in country music. The night as a whole was a wonderful experience that played out perfectly. When so many people come together for such a great cause it makes it that much more special and I would it was a pretty special night! For those who missed it make sure you put it on your calendars for next year because it is definitely an even you don't want to miss!
